ਹੋੜਾ:- ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਈਨ ਬ੍ਰੈਕਟ ’ਚ ਹੈ (ੋ), ਓ ਊੜੇ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੁੱਲੑਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਓ ਹੋੜਾ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੋੜਾ ਦੀਰਘ ਭਾਵ ਵੱਡੀ ਲਗ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ, ਲੰਬਾ ਲੌਂਗ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੀ ਬੋਲਣਾ। ਅ ੲ ਨੂੰ ਹੋੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ, ਅੱਗੇ ਓ ਸੋ ਹੋ ੜਾੜੇ ਤੱਕ, ਤੇਤੀ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋੜਾ ਲਾ ਕੇ, ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਅਪਣੇ ਮਗਰ ਹੋੜਾ ਕਹਾਉ। ਬੱਚਾ ਹੋੜਾ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ, ੩੩ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋੜਾ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਬਾਰ ਬਾਰ ਲਿਖੇ। ਹੋੜੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਾਖਰ ਬਿੰਦੀ (ਂ) ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Horraa: The sign of horraa is in the brackets (ੋ). When an ੳ has the top portion open like ਓ, then the pronunciation of that letter is with a horraa (ੋ). It is a deeraghlag so when pronouncing it, prolong the sound it creates. ਅ and ੲ never have horraa attached to them. From ਓ ਸੋ ਹੋ until ੜਾੜੇ, pronounce the 33 letters with horraa and make your children repeat them again and again. While repeating, children should add horraa to the 33 letters and write them again and again. The lagaakhar beⁿdee (ਂ) is used with horraa.

ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੋਹ ਸੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹਾਹਾ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੋੜਾ ਦੀਰਘ ਭਾਵ ਲੰਮਾ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ, ਹਾਹਾ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਲਘੂ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਬੋਲੋ। ਹਾਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਾਰੀ ਨ ਲੱਗੇ। ਸੋਹਿ ਸੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹਾਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਸੱਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੋੜਾ ਦੀਰਘ ਭਾਵ ਲੰਮਾ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ, ਹਾਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਾਰੀ ਲਘੂ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਬੋਲੋ। ਸੋਹੁ ਸੱਸੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਹਾਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਔਂਕੜ ਹੈ, ਸੱਸੇ ਦਾ ਹੋੜਾ ਦੀਰਘ ਭਾਵ ਲੰਮਾ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ, ਹਾਹੇ ਦਾ ਔਂਕੜ ਛੋਟੀ ਲਗ ਸੰਕੋਚ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਬੋਲੋ। ਹੋਹਿ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਹਾਹੇ ਦੇ ਹੋੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਰਘ, ਮਗਰਲੇ ਹਾਹੇ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਘੂ ਭਾਵ ਘੱਟ ਬੋਲਣਾ।

So-ha to the right of the ਸ is a ਹ muktaa, say the horraa (ੋ) on the ਸ with a long duration, say the ਹ muktaa with a short duration. Do not put a sehaaree (ਿ) on the ਹ. So-he to the right of ਸ is a ਹ sehaaree (ਿ). Say the horraa (ੋ) on the ਸ with a longer duration and say the ਹ sehaaree (ਿ) with a short duration. So-hu to the right of the ਸ is a ਹ auⁿkarr (ੁ). Say the horraa (ੋ) on the ਸ with a longer duration and say the ਹ auⁿkarr (ੁ) with a short duration. Ho-he on the first ਹ is a horraa (ੋ), say it with a longer duration and say the second ਹ sehaaree (ਿ) with a short duration.
